The Toyama City Tourism Association (Location: Toyama City, Toyama Prefecture) will fully renew its "Toyama City Official Tourism Website," which promotes the city's appeal, and launch it on Friday, March 27, 2026, at 1:00 PM.

This renewal is not merely a design change; it is a complete redesign that re-evaluates the site's structure and navigation from the perspective of "how to convey" the charm of Toyama City.

The appeal of Toyama City lies not only in its famous tourist spots but also in its everyday life, including its streetscapes, food culture, nature, and quality of life.

With the new site, we aimed to create a gateway that inspires people to visit by conveying these "everyday charms" of Toyama as a starting point for travel.

Background of the Renewal

In 2025, Toyama City was selected for The New York Times' "52 Places to Go in 2025," increasing interest from both domestic and international audiences.

Additionally, the Toyama City Tourism Association's social media posts focusing on the "everyday life" of Toyama—such as the Tateyama Mountain Range, food culture, and cityscapes—have received significant positive feedback.

Based on this evaluation and our track record of communication, we have carried out a full renewal to create a site that conveys the "richness of daily life," which is the essential charm of Toyama City.

Concept

Toyama: A city where daily life becomes the purpose of travel.

Toyama City is not just a city to tour; it is a city where daily life itself is the attraction.

These scenes of daily life are the unique charms of Toyama City.

Based on this philosophy, the new site was designed with the concept: "Toyama: A city where daily life becomes the purpose of travel."

About the Logo Design

We have also created a logo that symbolizes the concept of the new site.

Based on the text "TOYAMA CITY," it incorporates motifs that evoke images of Masu-zushi (trout sushi), the Tateyama Mountain Range, and streetcars, simply expressing the everyday charm of Toyama City.

By unifying this with the overall design of the site, we aim to enhance the brand image of Toyama City.
