Nippon Travel Agency is pleased to announce a study tour to Iizuna Town, Nagano Prefecture, a municipality selected for the 'Furusato Resident Registration System Model Project.' Participants will have the opportunity to personally experience the entire process from participating in work activities at local apple farms to receiving incentives, mirroring the flow experienced by premium members of the registration system. The program also includes presentations on Iizuna Town’s initiatives and exchange sessions with host business operators.
This tour is being implemented by Nippon Travel Agency, a member of the Furusato Resident Support Consortium, in collaboration with Iizuna Town, following activities initiated through the consortium.
The 'Furusato Resident Support Consortium' is a voluntary organization established to promote the 'Furusato Resident Registration System' and to create and expand 'related populations' (people with a continuous connection to a region). It serves as a cross-sector platform for local governments, companies, and organizations to accelerate regional engagement efforts promoted by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications. Iizuna Town is actively working with consortium members.
