【Goka Town, Ibaraki Prefecture】Former Goka Higashi Elementary School to be Reborn as a Vibrant Facility

Ibaraki Prefecture's Goka Town has been considering the utilization of the former Goka Higashi Elementary School site, which closed in March 2024. On February 17, 2026, a basic agreement was signed with Carelits & Partners Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director and President: Takehiro Miyamoto; hereinafter referred to as "the company") with the aim of creating regional vibrancy and promoting exchange among visitors from inside and outside the town.

Moving forward, based on the basic agreement, discussions will proceed to effectively utilize the existing buildings of the former Goka Higashi Elementary School. The facility will be developed to include seminar rooms for table tennis training camps and corporate training, a restaurant, accommodation rooms, and hot spring facilities. The operation of each facility is planned to accommodate both residents of the town and visitors from outside.

Furthermore, the company is actively engaged in social contribution activities through sports, such as signing an action partner agreement with the Japan National Table Tennis Team.
