Toray Industries, Inc. (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Mitsuo Ohya; hereinafter referred to as "Toray") will jointly exhibit with four Toray Group companies (Toray, Toray Carbon Fibers Europe S.A., Toray Composite Materials America, Inc., and Toray Advanced Composites) at the "Farnborough International Airshow 2026," an exhibition for the aerospace industry to be held in Farnborough, UK, from July 20 to 24, 2026. (Toray Group Joint Booth: Hall 1 / 1023a, and Chalet C329).

The Toray Group provides advanced material solutions that meet the needs of the aerospace, space, and defense sectors through a stable and robust supply chain and continuous expansion of production capacity, and also possesses geopolitical responsiveness in key global markets. During the exhibition, representatives from our European, North American, and Asian bases will gather to showcase the Toray Group's global strengths, long-term commitment, and latest initiatives and developments in these fields.

Toray's comprehensive product portfolio, including TORAYCATM carbon fiber, high-performance thermosetting resin systems, and Toray CetexTM thermoplastic composite materials, offers an excellent balance of strength, toughness, processability, and long-term durability. These materials are designed to meet the stringent certification and qualification requirements for aerospace, space, defense, and advanced mobility applications, underscoring our long-term commitment to reliability and performance in critical applications.

At the joint Toray Group booth, we will introduce new intermediate material products as follows:

1) TC1810 This polysiloxane-based pre-ceramic resin system offers excellent thermomechanical properties and can be processed at low temperatures using methods such as hand lay-up and automated fiber placement (AFP). It has a wide operating temperature range of 260°C to 1000°C and can be applied to battery protection, thermal protection systems (TPS), heat shielding, and leading edges, meeting aerospace, space, and defense applications.

2) 3960-FC This is a fast-curing version of the high-performance, high-toughness 3960 prepreg, reducing cure time by up to 45% while maintaining conventional mechanical properties. It offers excellent toughness and damage tolerance, enables the use of low-temperature tooling, and expands the applicability of vacuum bag-only (VBO) processes. It can also be integrated through compression molding, contributing to shorter lead times and reduced manufacturing costs. Unlike many fast-curing epoxy materials, it has a low risk of exothermic reaction even in thick-section structures. Furthermore, it exhibits high compatibility with automated manufacturing technologies such as AFP and automated tape laying (ATL).

Toray has established production and supply systems in various regions, including Europe, the United States, Japan, and South Korea, to meet domestic procurement requirements in defense programs in each country. Through carbon fibers, low-dielectric materials, high-heat-resistant materials, and advanced structural materials, we support a wide range of platforms across air, land, sea, and space. We also maintain advanced IT systems that comply with the strict information management requirements of the defense industry, and at specific sites, we can handle highly confidential programs.

Furthermore, in Europe, we are expanding our carbon fiber production capacity to meet the growing demand for certified standard and high-modulus carbon fibers for commercial aviation, space, and defense applications. We also offer prepreg materials for filament winding and AFP, supporting the development of next-generation aircraft structures.

Through these initiatives, Toray will further strengthen its long-term commitment to promoting innovation, enhancing supply chain resilience, and contributing to the sustainable development of the aerospace, space, and defense sectors.
