Nagoya Railroad (Meitetsu), in collaboration with Aichi Prefecture and Nagoya City, will operate the "Aichi Nagoya Open-Top Bus" during the Aichi Nagoya 2026 Games (hereinafter referred to as the Asian Games and Asian Para Games) to be held in 2026, with the aim of further revitalizing nighttime tourism.

This project was planned by the "Aichi Nagoya Open-Top Bus Executive Committee," which Meitetsu serves as the secretariat for. It aims to further revitalize nighttime tourism in Nagoya's city center, provide new value for overnight stays for guests, and contribute to solving regional tourism challenges and enhancing the city's appeal. In particular, the Asian Games and Asian Para Games to be held this year are seen as an excellent opportunity. With significant sponsorship from local companies, we aim to promote Nagoya's nighttime attractions both domestically and internationally as a unified effort between the public and private sectors, thereby revitalizing the region.

Details are as follows:

1. Overview of the "Aichi Nagoya Open-Top Bus"

The greatest appeal lies in the overwhelming sense of openness unique to a double-decker bus without a roof, and the dynamic scenery viewed from a height of approximately 3 meters above the ground. It offers a special travel experience where you can enjoy a panoramic view of Nagoya's cityscape while feeling the refreshing breeze.
