Operation of Toyohashi Railroad Atsumi Line "Aichi University Congratulations on Admission Memorial Train"

Toyohashi Railroad Co., Ltd. (President: Mitsuharu Iwagaya / 1-46-1 Ekimae Odori, Toyohashi City) will operate two train sets on the Atsumi Line, No. 1803 (Tsutsuji) and No. 1804 (Himawari), as the "Aichi University Congratulations on Admission Memorial Train" in collaboration with Aichi University. This project is being carried out on the Atsumi Line, which is a familiar means of transportation to Aichi University, in response to Aichi University's desire to "deliver congratulatory messages for admission and the new semester to new and current students at the Toyohashi Campus" as the university approaches its 80th anniversary in November 2026. Continuing from last year, the trains and the area around Shin-Toyohashi Station will be decorated with designs that evoke the image of admission and the new semester, and as a community-based public transportation provider, we will celebrate the new beginnings of students taking their first steps forward. Details are as follows:

1. Operation Period: Wednesday, April 1st - Thursday, April 30th ※There may be instances of operation before April 1st after construction.

2. Content: Two train sets on the Toyohashi Railroad Atsumi Line, "No. 1803 (Tsutsuji)" and "No. 1804 (Himawari)" will be decorated and operated to welcome new students and the new semester at Aichi University's Toyohashi Campus. ※A head mark and a commemorative mark will be affixed to the sides of the train. The interior will be decorated with a cherry blossom motif design that evokes the image of admission and the new semester. Congratulatory messages from current students will also be displayed. 3. Operation Schedule: (1) Operation aligned with new student orientation Wednesday, April 1st [Departing Shin-Toyohashi Station at 9:00 AM (Downhill)] (2) Operation aligned with the entrance ceremony Saturday, April 4th [Departing Shin-Toyohashi Station at 10:00 AM and 10:20 AM (Downhill)] Additionally, it is planned that the two memorial trains will be lined up at Shin-Toyohashi Station platform between 9:47 AM and 10:00 AM. ※The timetable for the memorial trains outside of the above dates is undecided.
