TONICHI to Exhibit for the First Time at 'Stationery & Letter Marche 2026' on April 10-11 - Featuring Designed Newspapers and Paper Stationery Upcycled from Newsprint

Tonichi Printing Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Koto-ku, Tokyo; President: Mitsuaki Nishikawa; hereinafter TONICHI), one of the world's largest newspaper printing companies, will exhibit for the first time at the Stationery & Letter Marche 2026, to be held on Friday, April 10, and Saturday, April 11, 2026. At this event, which brings together stationery fans, the company will sell "Tsutsumu," a designed newspaper that allows people to enjoy the texture and feel of newsprint. Additionally, pouches made from "Tsutsumu" will also debut at the event.

Enjoy "Using" Newspapers! The Designed Newspaper "Tsutsumu"

TONICHI is one of the world's largest newspaper printing companies as a single factory, equipped with 10 sets of rotary presses at one location, printing over 90 newspaper media and a maximum of 2.3 million copies per day. "Tsutsumu" is a product born from our company's love for newspapers, which we have been printing for 74 years. It was created with the hope that people will feel the texture and softness of newsprint and develop a fondness for newspapers. The grayish newsprint creates a stylish and calm atmosphere, and can be enjoyed as wrapping paper, book covers, or collage material from a wide variety of designs.

First Appearance of Collaboration Pouch Product

Furthermore, in a collaboration with "and upcycle (Representative: Keiko Kato)," an organization that supervises upcycling for corporations and municipalities and holds event planning and workshops, we have produced and will be selling for the first time original pouches made from the newsprint wrapping paper "Tsutsumu." Visitors can experience new ways to use and enjoy "Tsutsumu." Please come see the upcycled everyday newsprint goods at the venue.

Stationery & Letter Marche 2026

Under the theme "A grand collection of stationery that makes letters more fun!", stationery manufacturers and creators will participate in this event, with 115 booths from 96 companies. It is an event for fans particular about stationery and letters, where direct sales of favorite items are also possible.

Collaboration Project with and upcycle

and upcycle is an organization that creates new value by using materials such as used shopping bags and packaging. We met them at the Gift Show held in February 2026.

Our newspaper wrapping paper business with Hayashi & Company, with whom we have an SDGs partner agreement, received the "Kawasaki SDGs Grand Prize 2025 Grand Prize," and an article about it was published in the "Kawasaki City Newsletter." This prompted members of and upcycle to visit our booth. This project came to fruition after they expressed a desire to create various works using "Tsutsumu."

In the newspaper printing process, some paper inevitably remains unused. This initiative is also a sustainable effort to upcycle such paper and create new value. Please come to the venue to see and touch these special items that fuse the appeal of paper with the concept of upcycling.
