This initiative aims to deepen understanding of diverse customers, including the elderly and people with disabilities, and to foster a company-wide awareness of acting from the other person's perspective. By having store managers, pharmacy managers, and management, who are at the core of store operations, undergo this training, Tomod's aims to not only improve customer service skills at the frontline but also to create a workplace where employees can understand and support each other's differences.
The Universal Manner Certification is a private qualification organized and operated by Mirairo Inc. (Head Office: Yodogawa-ku, Osaka; President: Toshiya Kaiuchi). It systematically teaches appropriate ways to address and communicate with diverse individuals, including the elderly and people with disabilities, and how to provide necessary support. Its features include acquiring the "mindset" and "actions" to stand in the other person's shoes and translate appropriate consideration into action.
