Kyoto Tokyu Hotel (580 Kakimototcho, Horikawa Gojo, Shimogyo-ku, Kyoto; General Manager: Terue Ogawara) will host "Moonlight Aperi-Tea ~An Evening of Moonlight Enjoying the Harvest Moon and Autumn Fruits~" for three days only, from Friday, September 25, 2026, to Sunday, September 27, 2026, at the ROOF TOP BAR.
In line with the season when the moon is exceptionally beautiful in the night sky, we have prepared a special high tea featuring autumn flavors. You can enjoy a relaxing adult time while gazing at the full moon in the Kyoto night sky, accompanied by moon-motif savories and sweets.
This event is a special event exclusive to the ROOF TOP BAR, held to coincide with the Mid-Autumn Festival.
In Japan, a tradition has been passed down through generations of appreciating the Mid-Autumn Moon, giving thanks for the autumn harvest, and gathering to chat. The ROOF TOP BAR is holding this event with the desire to deliver a special experience of viewing the beautiful moon from its open rooftop space.
Our menu includes savories that luxuriously use the bounty of autumn, such as Tsukimi cheese sliders with bacon and fried egg resembling the moon, quail egg Tsukimi pinchos, smoked duck and fig tartlets, foie gras and maitake mushroom flan, and taro croquettes with truffle aroma. The main course is grilled domestic beef fillet with autumn vegetables, finished with a rich mushroom madeira cream sauce.
For dessert, we offer sweets to enhance the moon-viewing mood, including three-colored Tsukimi dango and sweet potatoes shaped like adorable rabbits. You can enjoy these with non-alcoholic or alcoholic free flow.
Enjoy a special high tea in the rooftop space, where the autumn breeze blows gently, while gazing at the beautiful moon. Please spend a special autumn moment with your family, friends, or loved ones.
