Shibuya Excel Hotel Tokyu (Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, General Manager: Masato Horiuchi) will renovate the entire 25th floor of the hotel.

Background and Purpose of Renovation

Since its opening in 2000, the 25th floor of Shibuya Excel Hotel Tokyu, located on the top floor of the Shibuya Mark City East Building, has been a cherished space offering dining and hospitality with a view from 100 meters above ground. Inheriting the value of Japanese cuisine "Shunsai" which cherishes "the scenery is also a feast," and the concept of restaurant "A Vient" which aims to create a space where customers feel "See you again" and want to visit repeatedly. This renovation will rebuild the entire floor as "SHIBUYA PANORAMA" while inheriting the inherent charm of the 25th floor. The purpose of this renovation is to refine the original charm of the 25th floor for the next era and transform it into a new experience that connects more deeply with the city of Shibuya.

History Since Opening and Changes in the City

In the spring of 2000, when the entire Shibuya area was transforming into a sophisticated and refined "new Shibuya," Shibuya Excel Hotel Tokyu opened along with Shibuya Mark City. Since then, the 25th floor has welcomed many guests with its panoramic views of Shibuya and its spaces where Japanese and French cuisine could be enjoyed. Meanwhile, the city of Shibuya has changed significantly over the past 26 years. With ongoing redevelopment, it has grown into an international city attracting diverse people from Japan and abroad, and the experiences and values sought after have also changed greatly. Capturing these changes in the city and new needs, the 25th floor will be reborn in a new form for the next era.

"SHIBUYA PANORAMA"

This name expresses the experience of feeling the changing light, the city's expressions, the flow of people, and the 360-degree expanse as a continuous panorama, utilizing the height of the 25th floor and the structure that allows circulation throughout the floor. It offers not just a view, but an "experience of touring the city from above, as if walking through Shibuya."

Bistro "A Vient"

A vibrant and casual dining space that combines the comfort of a classic bistro with the lightness of modern Shibuya. As the name "A Vient" means "See you again," we aim to be a restaurant that people want to visit frequently and casually.

"Sushi Shunsai"

Beyond Bistro "A Vient," this is a hidden gem, a sushi and kappo restaurant with a special counter seating for only 8 guests. Enjoy a seasonal (trendy) Japanese cultural experience at the view counter overlooking Shibuya and gazing at Shinjuku.

Occupying half of the 25th floor is a lounge exclusively for hotel guests staying in the upper floors. Guests can spend a relaxing time with views from 100 meters above ground. This includes tea time, cocktail time, and a special breakfast, all included in the accommodation fee.

We will gradually implement initiatives such as regional collaborations and limited-time exhibitions with the theme of "Shibuya Distillation."

* The currently operating restaurant "A Vient" and Japanese cuisine "Shunsai" will close on July 31, 2026, due to this renovation. We express our gratitude to all who have patronized us for many years.

* Detailed information about each facility will be announced gradually in the future. Detailed information and reservation start for "Bistro A Vient" and "Sushi Shunsai" are scheduled for early September 2026, and detailed information for the "Lounge for Hotel Guests" will be released via press release in October of the same year.

The 25th-floor restaurant floor, which has been loved by many guests since its opening in 2000, will now move on to a new stage. While cherishing and inheriting the value of the view that this place holds, having walked alongside the city of Shibuya, we will deliver new experiences as the "SHIBUYA PANORAMA" floor, featuring a bistro, sushi, and a lounge for hotel guests. We apologize for any inconvenience during the construction period, but we aim to create a space that symbolizes the future of Shibuya Excel Hotel Tokyu and allows everyone to spend richer time.
