Osaka Excel Hotel Tokyu to Offer Rainbow-Themed Cocktails for Pride Month, Donating Part of Sales to Nijiiro Diversity

Osaka Excel Hotel Tokyu, located in Kyutaromachi, Chuo-ku, Osaka and led by General Manager Yusuke Goto, will offer limited-time rainbow-themed cocktails at its 16th-floor BAR & LOUNGE “MIDO” from June 1 to June 30, 2026, in conjunction with Pride Month, a global period in June for showing understanding and support for LGBTQ+ people and respect for diversity. During the campaign, the hotel will decorate its premises in vibrant rainbow colors, creating opportunities to foster understanding and support for the LGBTQ+ community and contributing to a society that respects diversity. Pride Month is a symbolic period held every June around the world to raise awareness of LGBTQ+ rights and respect for diversity. In recent years, initiatives by companies and local governments have also expanded in Japan, helping inclusive values take root. The hotel has previously conducted diversity training as part of its internal education efforts to deepen understanding of LGBTQ+ people and diverse values. At the IGLTA Annual Global Convention held in Osaka in 2024, the hotel also cooperated in welcoming related media and guests, giving concrete form to its empathy and support for diversity. This year, for the second edition of the initiative following last year’s program, the hotel will hold a special campaign under the theme “Spectrum.” While the word originally refers to the band of colors created by light, this project uses it to express a world expanded by the overlapping of diverse identities and values, offering each guest a comfortable and welcoming moment. BAR & LOUNGE “MIDO” will prepare cocktails expressing the individual character of six colors. Made with fruit and colorful liqueurs, the lineup is designed to be visually festive as well. Each drink will be available in both alcoholic and mocktail versions, allowing anyone to enjoy them casually. A portion of sales from these cocktails will be donated to Nijiiro Diversity, a certified nonprofit organization based in Osaka that works to improve and support LGBTQ+ rights. To celebrate Pride Month, rainbow flags will be displayed at the front desk, lobby, bar, and restaurant, adding color throughout the hotel. Staff will also wear rainbow-colored badges on their uniforms as they welcome guests with a spirit of understanding and support for diversity. At the breakfast venue, tableware in six rainbow-inspired colors will be used to offer a visually enjoyable start to the day. Through this initiative, Osaka Excel Hotel Tokyu aims to contribute to the realization of a society where diverse values are mutually respected.
