Tokyu Resort Town Tateshina (Chino City, Nagano Prefecture) will host a 'Hot Air Balloon Experience Event' for two days on June 20 (Sat) and 21 (Sun), 2026, offering a panoramic view of the magnificent nature of Tateshina, located at an altitude of 1,300 meters. This event, now in its third year, features tethered flights that ascend 20 to 30 meters from the ski slopes, allowing visitors to see the majestic panorama woven by the Yatsugatake Mountains and the greenery of Tateshina. If the weather is favorable, visitors can also enjoy the mystical sea of clouds, which is a unique charm of this event. The event has attracted over 300 visitors annually, and has been well-received, especially by families, with many participants commenting that 'the scenery was more beautiful than imagined' and 'it became a special memory for the children.' Following last year, a breakfast set will also be available, allowing visitors to slowly enjoy the nature of Tateshina while wrapped in the clear air.
