Tokyu Fudosan Holdings Corporation (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Hiroaki Hoshino) and National Students Information Center (Nasic) (Headquarters: Kyoto City, Kyoto Prefecture; President and CEO: Kazuki Yoshino), with the cooperation of Kyoto City, have been conducting the "Future of the City Co-created with Students Project" since 2020 to think about solutions to social issues faced by the local community together with students, and this marks its 6th iteration.
In this project, 20 university students studying in Kyoto, under the theme "How to make the activities of companies and organizations shaping the future of Kyoto sustainable," interviewed student organizations tackling social issues and 4 organizations that have commercialized projects started during their student years. They produced articles summarizing the background of these activities, specific initiatives, outcomes, and future prospects.
We are pleased to hold an activity presentation to share the results of the students' roughly half-year activities and the initiatives of the active local organizations they interviewed with various media representatives.
At the presentation, based on the interviews, we will exchange views on Kyoto's urban development and the relationship between students and the community, and broadcast the future of Kyoto from a student's perspective.
