Our company, in a joint proposal with Shift Plus Inc. (hereinafter "Shift Plus"), has been selected as the top candidate in the public proposal process for the "Kawasaki City Hometown Tax Promotion Business" conducted by Kawasaki City. Starting April 1, 2026 (Wednesday), we will jointly manage the city's Hometown Tax operations with Shift Plus as an intermediary contractor.
By acting as a bridge between local businesses and donors across the country, our company and Shift Plus will contribute to increasing the national recognition of Kawasaki City's Hometown Tax program, building a fan base, and securing financial resources that will help solve local issues by increasing donation amounts.
We will work to expand the range of return gifts that highlight the region's appeal by carefully interviewing existing gift providers to resolve their challenges and by actively cultivating new businesses within the city. Furthermore, we will conduct marketing to promote the appeal of Kawasaki City's food, culture, and industry nationwide through these return gifts, aiming to create a "related population" that leads to future visits and potential relocation to Kawasaki City. We also plan to implement promotional advertising to improve national recognition.
By combining our company's deep ties to the local community with Shift Plus's extensive track record in managing Hometown Tax operations, we will realize safe, secure, and efficient operations in areas such as support for businesses and donors, website management, and application processing.
Kawasaki City and our company concluded a comprehensive partnership agreement in June 2015 regarding urban development along the Tokyu lines, and we are promoting initiatives to realize sustainable urban development where everyone can live comfortably. In recent years, we have been working together to improve the city's appeal through projects such as the operation of "Kawasaki Todoroki Park" and participation in the "Kawasaki City Central Wholesale Market Northern Market Function Renewal Project."
In October 2019, our company launched the Hometown Tax portal site "Tokyu Furusato Palette." We work in collaboration with local governments and residents to develop original return gifts that "maximize the promotion of regional appeal," thereby engaging in the dissemination of unique regional charms and the provision of value. Since October 2024, we have begun intermediary contract services for Hometown Tax operations in Setagaya Ward, providing the detailed support unique to our company, which is deeply rooted in the areas along our railway lines.
Moving forward, we aim to continue disseminating the charm of each region nationwide through the Hometown Tax program and, by attracting donations, contribute to securing financial resources that help solve regional issues and foster further development.
