Popular Voice Actor Chiaki Kobayashi to Release 10th Anniversary Photo Book Shot in Venice This September

Tokyo News Service, publisher of "TV Guide" and other magazines, will release "Chiaki Kobayashi's 10th Debut Anniversary Photo Book (tentative title)" on Thursday, September 10. Pre-orders are available at bookstores nationwide and online.

Since his 2016 debut, Chiaki Kobayashi has become a top voice actor, landing leading roles in series like the TV anime "Hell's Paradise" (as Gabimaru) and "Mashle: Magic and Muscles" (as Mash Burnedead), and currently stars in "Go For It, Nakamura!". This photo book commemorates his 10th anniversary in the industry.

The photo shoot took place in Venice, Italy, the "City of Water," which Kobayashi said he had "always wanted to visit at least once." He was photographed at historic sites like St. Mark's Square and the Rialto Bridge, enjoying the colorful streets of Burano, and playing on the shores of the popular Lido resort island. The book captures his natural side as he enjoys authentic pasta, pizza, and wine. It also reveals a sexier side, with expressions and a physique he has trained for this occasion, photographed in a luxury hotel.

The book, set in a scenic location befitting a 10th-anniversary celebration, captures his evolution and growth as an artist and as a man. It is a permanent collector's edition that also includes a long interview covering his 10-year journey.

◆Event Information A total of 600 people will be selected by lottery from customers who purchase the eligible product at Animate or Gamers stores to be invited to events held on Sunday, October 4, Sunday, October 11, and Sunday, October 18, 2026. The events will take place in Tokyo and Osaka and will include handshake sessions, autograph signings, and voice message recordings.
