What Exactly is Shuji Kikuchi? "Ambivalent," a Book Delving into His "True Identity," to Be Released

Tokyo News Service, Ltd., publisher of "TV Guide," "TV Guide Stage Stars," and other magazines, will release Shuji Kikuchi's 1st photo book "Ambivalent" on Friday, July 3. It will be available for pre-order at bookstores nationwide and online bookstores.

Shuji Kikuchi, who has appeared in numerous 2.5D stage productions such as "Tokyo Revengers," "Blue Lock," and Action Stage "Helios Rising Heroes," is gaining increasing momentum. From April this year, he has been appearing as Tenma Sumeragi in the popular series MANKAI STAGE 'A3!', and has also joined the newly formed theater company UNFORM+. His first photo book aims to peel back the mask from his heart and reveal the deep-seated "true self" he has never shown before.

He has played many roles on stage. As an actor, various personalities have existed within him. As a person, however, he is sociable, friendly, compassionate, and caring, brightening any place he is in. He is humorous, intelligent, humble, and handles everything with lighthearted skill. Both on and off stage, he has always presented an "ideal image" to those around him. So, who exactly is Shuji Kikuchi, hidden behind the "image he has chosen to show"? This book is a journey to explore what lies deep within his heart, together with him.

Shuji Kikuchi performs himself appropriately for the time and place, as if changing clothes. Shuji Kikuchi's Comment: I am delighted to announce the release of my first-ever photo book. It is a great pleasure to be able to deliver a photo book, which has been my dream, at the milestone timing of my 30th birthday and 10th anniversary as an actor. This is entirely thanks to everyone's support. Thank you again, truly. The path until today has not always been enjoyable; there were days when I was lost and troubled. In this book, I confronted my "current self," a mix of both negative and bright, positive aspects, and expressed my "true-to-life self." Who am I? What is me, and what is not me? I want to continue to love such a self-- Many thoughts and conflicts are condensed into this one volume. I hope you will enjoy my "story," which goes beyond the framework of a photo book.
