The project started with a call from senior "broadcast writer" Duncan, which Osamu Suzuki readily accepted.

Even now, with SNS and AI being commonplace, people continue to live with anxieties and worries, from personal matters to major societal events. This book was created to make people with such worries think, "It's okay."

The two proposed and investigated the "front lines of life" that interested them. They visited a tree burial site, the Tokyo District Court, a fortune-telling session, a psychiatric clinic, and a cafe opened by an owner after discovering they had cancer, delving into a wide range of themes such as "death, aging," "luck, money, work," and "hope for living.".

The conversations extend to personal experiences, including family debts incurred in their youth, how they now face deceased family members in their daily lives, and episodes from when they discovered their own illnesses. They approach serious themes that are unavoidable in life with their unique lightness, opening up unexpected perspectives.

The unique ideas of these "idea men," scattered throughout the five conversations, slightly broaden the choices for living when one is stopped by anxiety, gently supporting your back with "It's okay.".

This is a book that will make you feel at ease and become more positive as you read about their amusing stories, where they deliberately chose the less favorable path in their lives. It's a book of encouragement from the two of them to you.

Duncan's original illustrations are also featured on the cover and throughout the book!
