We're Looking for Chiikawa: 'Movie Chiikawa' Tokyo Metro Escape Game Launches!

Tokyo Metro Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Taito City, Tokyo; President and CEO: Akio Kosaka; hereinafter "Tokyo Metro") will launch the collaborative event "We're Looking for Chiikawa: 'Movie Chiikawa' Tokyo Metro Escape Game" from Friday, July 24, 2026, to Tuesday, November 3, 2026 (a national holiday), in partnership with the upcoming film 'Movie Chiikawa: The Secret of the Mermaid Island' (distributed by Toho). The event will take participants on a journey across stations and neighborhoods along the Tokyo Metro lines.

This event is an experiential game where participants use a dedicated kit to solve various puzzles hidden throughout Tokyo Metro stations and city areas, searching for the missing characters: Chiikawa, Hachiware, and Usagi.

The world of 'Movie Chiikawa: The Secret of the Mermaid Island,' set for release on Friday, July 24, is intricately woven into the event. As participants solve the puzzles, they will experience a sense of immersion, as if they have wandered into the very world of Chiikawa and friends.

1. Event Period

From Friday, July 24, 2026, to Tuesday, November 3, 2026 (a national holiday)

* The final day of the event, Tuesday, November 3, 2026 (a national holiday), will conclude at 8:00 PM.

2. How to Participate

(1) Purchase or exchange a puzzle-solving kit at the official sales website or designated sales locations!

(2) Follow the instructions from the puzzle-solving kit and the dedicated app to head to various Tokyo Metro stations!

(3) Walk around the city, solve puzzles, and find Chiikawa and friends!

(4) After solving all the puzzles, take on the final challenge. Solve it correctly to clear the game!

3. What You Need

* A smartphone capable of connecting to the internet is required.

* Downloading the "ESCAPE.ID app" is necessary to play the game.

* The smartphone's camera will be used during gameplay.

* Please ensure your smartphone has sufficient battery power.

* Communication fees are the responsibility of the participant.

4. Sales Price

Puzzle-solving kit: 3,300 JPY (tax included)

* The kit does not include a Tokyo Metro 24-hour ticket. Transportation fees are separate and must be paid additionally.

* Upon successful payment, a QR code for exchange will be issued.

* Present the issued QR code at the designated exchange location to receive your puzzle-solving kit.

(2) Designated Sales Locations

At some locations, puzzle-solving kits can be purchased without prior reservation.

8. Refunds, Validity Periods, and Valid Times

(1) Refunds and Kit Defects

* In principle, kits will not be refunded. However, we will respond if there is a defect in the contents.

* Depending on the nature of the defect, the response (refund or replacement) may vary. Please understand.
