Tokyo Metro Co., Ltd. announced that with the start of operations at Baraki-Nakayama Station on the Tozai Line on March 28, 2026, the installation of platform screen doors will be completed across all 9 lines and 180 stations. Since first introducing them on the Namboku Line in 1991, Tokyo Metro has been working to prevent accidents and ensure passenger safety. Following the announcement of the system-wide installation plan in June 2017, the number of fall accidents has decreased.
