Tokyo City Keiba (TCK) will hold the "Teio Sho (JpnI)" on July 1 (Wed), a premier race to determine the first-half champion of dirt racing. The list of participating horses and their gate positions has now been finalized.

Last year's winner (48th edition): Mikki Fight

This year's 49th Teio Sho (JpnI), a milestone marking the 40th anniversary of Twinkle Race, will feature a total of 13 horses—7 from the Japan Racing Association (JRA) and 6 from regional tracks.

From JRA, the field includes last year's champion Mikki Fight (trained by Hiroyasu Tanaka), who also won the JBC Classic (JpnI); Kazeno Runner (trained by Mikio Matsumura), victor of the Kawasaki Kinen (JpnI); Outrange (trained by Toshihiko Okubo), winner of the Nagoya Grand Prix (JpnII); and Road Kronen (trained by Hirofumi Yonai), who triumphed in this year's Procyon Stakes (GII) and Heian Stakes (GIII). Representing the local TCK are Dictéon (trained by Katsunori Arayama), winner of last year's Tokyo Daishōten (GI), Santonore (trained by Katsunori Arayama), dominant victor of the Oi Kinen (SI), along with Marukan Rani (trained by Tsuyoshi Takano), Nansai White (trained by Hideto Yoneda), and Night of Fire (trained by Kazuo Watanabe), making five TCK entrants. Also joining the field is Seraphic Call (trained by Katsuyoshi Uchida), representing Kawasaki Racecourse. A stellar lineup has gathered for this decisive showdown to crown the top dirt horse of the first half of the year.

The ultimate showdown of 2026's first-half dirt graded racing. Who will conquer the 2,000-meter "champion distance" and emerge as the "Emperor of the Sand"? A race not to be missed.
