Tokyo Midtown Management Co., Ltd., which operates Tokyo Midtown Hibiya (Yurakucho, Chiyoda-ku / Operator: Mitsui Fudosan Co., Ltd.), has announced the 9 finalists for the "Hibiya Live Performance Award," which newly started in 2026, after a rigorous selection process. The selected finalists will appear on the main stage of Hibiya Step Square at Tokyo Midtown Hibiya on Sunday, May 10, 2026, and will showcase their live performances in front of judges and visitors.

This award is a renewed and evolved version of the "NEXT Artist" program, which aimed to discover and support young artists, now focusing more on the appeal of live performances. This year, many applications were received from diverse genres such as music, performing arts, and physical expression. Judges, including director Amon Miyamoto, who serves as the head judge, conducted a strict review based on expressiveness, originality, and future potential. As a result, finalists who possess the expressiveness and presence that can only be demonstrated in a live setting were selected. The Grand Prix winner will receive special opportunities to experience domestic and international stages and performances, as well as various support programs to expand their expressive possibilities, such as special dialogues and collaborations with judges. Please look forward to the challenges of the next-generation artists born from Hibiya, the city of entertainment.

● Isshin Ohira Genre: J-POP He is a 21-year-old quadruple threat (lyrics, composition, singing, dancing) solo artist. After about 5 years of activity with Sony Music Entertainment, he became independent in his first year of high school. He primarily broadcasts on TikTok LIVE and successfully held four one-man shows in one year. His original song "Issho no Kataomoi" (Unrequited Love for Life) has recorded 1.5 million plays on subscription services. ● ON Genre: Yonwan (Four Arms) An performer who handles "Yonwan" (four arms). He started clowning in his student days, where he was exposed to juggling and pantomime. During the same period, he belonged to theater and contemporary dance groups and also worked on creating pieces that dealt with objects based on juggling techniques. As a culmination of these, he discovered a performance using his own body and objects as "Yonwan," and is exploring techniques and expressions that are not bound by genre. ● Kanako Sato Genre: Musical Born in Shinjo City, Yamagata Prefecture. She began studying vocal music at age 15 and graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts, Faculty of Music, Department of Vocal Music, Soprano major. While enrolled, she was cast as the heroine in the musical 'Guys and Dolls'. After graduation, she has played leading roles in numerous stage productions. She has also performed CM songs for a certain theme park and served as a soprano solo in night shows, actively working across genres.
