The Tokyo Metropolitan Government and the Tokyo SME Support Center have been implementing the "Support Project for Equipment Investment to Promote Dynamic Business Development" since FY2021. This project subsidizes a portion of the costs for introducing machinery and equipment necessary for Tokyo-based small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to strengthen their competitiveness through "qualitative improvement of products and services" and to promote productivity improvement for "expansion of production capacity."
We are pleased to announce that 80 businesses have been selected for the 11th round (3rd round of FY2025) of this support project.
Overview of Subsidized Projects
Eligible Applicants
SMEs and others who have their head office or a branch office registered in Tokyo as of the base date (or have filed a business commencement notification and are operating a business in Tokyo if an individual), have been in business for at least two years, and have formulated a wage increase plan.

I. Strengthening Competitiveness
Projects that newly introduce machinery and equipment necessary for business development aimed at strengthening competitiveness for further growth.
II. DX Promotion
Projects that newly introduce machinery and equipment necessary for business development aimed at building new products/services or transforming existing businesses through the utilization of digital technologies such as IoT, AI, and robots.
III. Innovation
Projects that newly introduce machinery and equipment necessary for fostering innovation by engaging in new business activities in industrial fields that contribute to solving urban issues and are expected to expand their markets domestically and internationally.
IV. Successor Challenge
Projects that newly introduce machinery and equipment necessary for business diversification or tackling new management challenges by successors, triggered by business succession.
V. Upgrade Promotion
Projects that newly introduce machinery and equipment necessary for strengthening competitiveness and improving productivity, and for growing to become the center of the regional economy.
Subsidy Rate and Maximum Subsidy Amount
Subsidy Rate: Within 1/2 to 4/5
Maximum Subsidy Amount: 30 million yen to 200 million yen
Subsidy Period
1 year and 6 months from the first day of the month following the grant decision (July 1, 2026 - December 31, 2027 at the latest)
Eligible Expenses
Costs for introducing machinery, equipment, fixtures, and software.
Installation Location
Within Tokyo Metropolis, and in Kanagawa, Saitama, Chiba, Gunma, Tochigi, Ibaraki, and Yamanashi Prefectures.
