Tama Monozukuri Startup Entrepreneur Development Program — Recruiting "Monozukuri Entrepreneurs" for New Product Development —

The Tokyo Metropolitan Government and the Tokyo Metropolitan Small and Medium Enterprise Support Center (Public Interest Incorporated Foundation) are promoting collaboration between manufacturing entrepreneurs in Tokyo and manufacturing businesses within the city. This initiative aims to support the resolution of challenges faced during the prototype development phase towards mass production.

We are now recruiting manufacturing startup entrepreneurs in Tokyo who aim to commercialize their businesses by providing support for prototype development and verification.

**Recruitment Details**

**Application Period**

● Pre-entry Period: Wednesday, May 13, Reiwa 8 (2026) – Friday, July 10 (2026)

● Application Acceptance Period: Wednesday, July 1, Reiwa 8 (2026) – Wednesday, July 22 (2026)

・After entry, an individual interview will be conducted, and you will be guided through the application procedures.

**Target Applicants**

Manufacturing entrepreneurs aiming to commercialize their businesses in Tokyo (approximately up to 10 businesses)

**Eligibility Requirements**

・Individuals planning to start a business in Tokyo, or small and medium-sized enterprises in Tokyo established less than 10 years ago, who aim to develop products.

・Those who have already created a prototype.

**Support Period**

After support decision (from late August, Reiwa 8 (2026)) – until the end of March, Reiwa 9 (2027)

* Second-year (continued) support (Reiwa 9 (2027) fiscal year) will be offered to businesses that received first-year support within the past two years, with a maximum of 6 companies selected after recruitment and screening.

* For the second-year (continued) support implemented in Reiwa 8 (2026) fiscal year, a maximum of 3 companies are planned to be selected.

**Support Content**

1) Monozukuri Matching Support

－ Introduction of manufacturing businesses, primarily in the Tama region, as potential development contractors.

2) Hands-on Support

－ Development plan formulation / Project progress management / Test marketing / Mentoring / Introduction to partners.

3) Financial Support

－ Costs incurred for prototype development and verification based on the development plan (outsourcing fees, external contractor fees, etc.)

First year: Up to 3 million yen, Second year: Up to 10 million yen

* Support extends to full-scale prototyping and verification for mass production.

**Program Introduction**

Public awareness events, including program explanations, are scheduled to be held multiple times from June onwards. Please check the program website for details.
