To improve productivity, strengthen competitiveness, and establish a sustainable environment for wage increases among small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), the Tokyo Metropolitan Government and the Tokyo Metropolitan Small and Medium Enterprise Support Center will launch the "DX Promotion Total Support Project" starting in fiscal year 2026.
This project provides comprehensive support for DX promotion, including assistance from advisors in formulating DX strategies and AI utilization plans, support from the introduction to the application of digital technologies, and subsidies for expenses related to the implementation of equipment and systems that utilize digital technology.
The project consists of four courses. We are now announcing the call for applications for companies to participate in two courses designed to boost DX promotion and one course aimed at creating advanced AI utilization case studies.
This project is an initiative to promote the "2050 Tokyo Strategy," Strategy 13: Industry, "Supporting SMEs and Assisting Growth."
【Project Overview】
1. Advisor Dispatch
Advisors will conduct on-site visits to clarify individual current issues, determine support policies, and provide consistent support ranging from the formulation of DX strategies and AI utilization plans to the consideration and post-implementation support of digital technologies.
【Support Courses and Number of Companies to be Selected】
・ DX Step-Up Course (20 companies)
・Support for formulating DX strategies based on management philosophy and vision
・Support for the introduction and utilization of digital technology and the development of management teams to promote DX
・ DX Advance Course (10 companies)
・Targeted at companies that have already formulated DX strategies, etc. (e.g., DX-certified companies)
・Support for realizing DX (business model transformation, new service development, etc.)
・ AI Utilization Course (10 companies)
・Support ranging from AI utilization plan formulation and internal literacy improvement to the introduction and application of advanced AI technologies
・ Productivity Improvement Course ※
・Dedicated advisors support the introduction and utilization of digital technology to improve the productivity of business activities
※ This call for applications covers courses 1, 2, and 3.
The Productivity Improvement Course (4) is scheduled to have two recruitment periods, around June and October.

Small and medium-sized enterprises, etc., with their main place of business in Tokyo.
2. Subsidies
For SMEs, etc., that have received the "1. Advisor Dispatch" mentioned above, we will subsidize a portion of the costs necessary for the introduction and utilization of digital technology based on the content of the "Proposal from the Advisor (※)."
※ It will take a certain amount of time to prepare the "Proposal from the Advisor."
