Takagi Seiko Co., Ltd. (hereinafter, "Takagi Seiko"), Tokyo Gas Co., Ltd. (hereinafter, "Tokyo Gas"), and Hokuriku Electric Power Co., Inc. (hereinafter, "Hokuriku Electric Power") have agreed to commence the supply of electricity to Takagi Seiko's Himi Plant, achieving effectively 100% renewable energy, starting from April 1, 2026, by utilizing the environmental value of the Fushiki Manyo Wharf Biomass Power Plant (hereinafter, "Fushiki Biomass Power Plant").

This initiative involves utilizing the environmental value from the Fushiki Biomass Power Plant, operated by Fushiki Manyo Wharf Biomass Power Generation LLC, a member of the Tokyo Gas Group, to supply electricity with effectively zero CO2 emissions to Takagi Seiko's Himi Plant by Hokuriku Electric Power.

Takagi Seiko's Himi Plant has already achieved 100% renewable energy since March 2025 by procuring electricity from Himi Furusato Energy Co., Ltd.'s (hereinafter, "Himi Furusato Energy") solar power plant through an off-site PPA, and by introducing Hokuriku Electric Power's renewable energy electricity rate plan, "Kagayaki GREEN Pure." By switching the renewable energy electricity rate plan to "Kagayaki GREEN RE100" and utilizing the environmental value derived from the Fushiki Biomass Power Plant located in Takaoka City, the plant will evolve into a more locally rooted 100% renewable energy facility.

Takagi Seiko, Tokyo Gas, and Hokuriku Electric Power will continue to engage in environmentally conscious business activities, contributing to the realization of a carbon-neutral society and the sustainable development of local communities.

Takagi Seiko's Initiatives <Local Production and Consumption of Energy> Promoting regional economic revitalization and local production and consumption of energy by utilizing power sources originating from Takaoka City and Himi City, where its business bases are located. <Decarbonization of the Supply Chain> Reducing the environmental impact throughout the product lifecycle by manufacturing parts for BEVs and HEVs with low CO2 emissions using low-carbon energy.
