Tokyo Dome Natural Hot Spring Spa LaQua to Hold Rainy-Season Tanka Event

Tokyo Dome Natural Hot Spring Spa LaQua in Bunkyo, Tokyo, will hold a rainy-season wellness event titled “Spa LaQua of Rain Sounds and Steam: A Moisturizing Moment with Tanka” from June 1 to July 31, 2026. The event will feature around 40 tanka works, including new pieces written exclusively for the occasion by contemporary tanka poets Daiji Okano and Kon Ito, as well as winning entries from a contest held in collaboration with the word-posting app Kotoamu. Installations themed around “rain” and “warmth” will be set up inside the facility, allowing visitors to experience the world of contemporary tanka. The program also includes special talk shows and signing events with poets and creators, limited food and drink menus and merchandise in collaboration with the popular literary magazine GOAT, and original event goods featuring tanka by Okano and Ito. In addition, Spa LaQua will partner with Korean skincare brand Torriden to offer skincare experiences in the powder rooms and sample campaigns at beauty and relaxation salons.
