Beppu Onsen Retreat 'Nanoka Ichimeguri' Launches Media Trial Program with Bedding Brand GOKUMIN

Nanoka Ichimeguri, a modern hot spring therapy facility in Beppu City, Oita Prefecture, operated by Toji Gurashi Co., Ltd., is partnering with KURUKURU Co., Ltd.—the manufacturer of the GOKUMIN bedding brand, which has surpassed 2 million units sold—to launch a special trial stay program for media representatives starting Monday, July 27, 2026.

Nanoka Ichimeguri provides a modern toji (hot spring therapy) experience in Beppu, which boasts the highest number of hot spring sources in Japan, by combining hot springs, meals, physical exercise, and health monitoring. The facility employs staff certified as nurses, hot spring therapy instructors, and food advisors. Upon check-in, they measure guests' blood pressure, vascular age, autonomic nervous system balance, and stress levels to suggest individualized activities.

Through this collaboration with KURUKURU, nurses will now use these check-in health measurement results to recommend personalized pillows, tailoring the sleep environment to each guest's physical condition. The program is designed for those suffering from chronic neck and shoulder stiffness, straight neck syndrome, and poor sleep quality, offering media representatives a firsthand experience of the enhanced wellness retreat.

■ Regarding the Initiative
Both Toji Gurashi and KURUKURU are members of the Sleep Network Hub 'ZAKONE,' an inter-industry community aimed at resolving sleep issues. Their shared involvement in ZAKONE led to this joint trial program, which integrates Nanoka Ichimeguri’s hot spring and health monitoring programs with GOKUMIN’s high-performance bedding.

With studies showing an increasing number of adults struggling with sleep, often compounded by poor posture and neck/shoulder fatigue, this initiative combines health monitoring with GOKUMIN’s specialized bedding for a more precise approach to sleep health. This program also marks the first permanent site in Kyushu where customers can physically experience GOKUMIN products, which are otherwise sold primarily online.
