TMH Inc. (Headquarters: Oita City, Oita Prefecture; hereinafter "the Company"), which operates the semiconductor industry-specialized media outlet "SEMICON.TODAY," is launching a new serial feature titled "Silicon is My Life." This series will record and share the life stories and insights of the pioneers who led Japan's semiconductor industry to world-class standards.

We are conducting in-depth, interview-style coverage of engineers and executives who supported the era when Japan reigned as the world's top semiconductor producer, including individuals from the University of Tokyo, Toshiba, and Hitachi. We will meticulously document their life philosophies from childhood to the present, the reality of their successes and failures, and pivotal moments of encounter and decision-making.

Background of the Project The semiconductor industry is experiencing a rapidly intensifying global competition for talent due to the explosive growth of AI, electric vehicles, and data centers. Securing highly skilled personnel is a critical issue directly linked to corporate competitiveness within Japan as well.

Meanwhile, the generation that directly experienced the 1980s—when Japan held the majority of the global market share—is aging, and the primary information, expertise, and on-site intuition from that era are being lost at a rapid pace.

"Silicon is My Life" is a project specialized for the semiconductor industry, building on the value of documentary-style content that systematically records an individual's career and decision-making, similar to the iconic "My Resume" (Watashi no Rirekisho) series in the Nihon Keizai Shimbun. While that series features leaders writing in their own words, our series adopts an interview format. By visualizing the background of decision-making and the process of career formation through the subject's own narrative, we provide stories with concrete detail and a sense of realism.

Features of the Series ● Exclusive interviews with engineers and executives who supported the golden age of Japanese semiconductors, including those from the University of Tokyo, Toshiba, and Hitachi. ● A life-story format that delves deep into life experiences, encounters, successes, and failures from childhood onward. ● A serial format combining text articles and videos to reach a diverse audience. ● Deep, insightful content that can be read as industrial history, layering the evolution of semiconductor technology with individual journeys. ● Serves as a career role model for young engineers, next-generation researchers, and professionals from other industries.

Expected Effects ■ Enhancement of Media Value Through the continuous accumulation of exclusive interview content, we aim to expand the user base and improve engagement for SEMICON.TODAY. By increasing industry awareness and strengthening our network, we will also contribute to creating synergies with our existing businesses.

Promotion of Talent Inflow to the Industry By visualizing career role models, we will encourage young talent, professionals from other industries, and next-generation researchers to enter the semiconductor industry, contributing to raising the overall talent supply capacity of the industry.

Creation of Revenue Opportunities and Long-term Corporate Value Improvement In the future, we anticipate creating revenue opportunities through expansion into recruitment support, educational content, advertising, and marketing support. By promoting a content strategy that includes this series, we aim to improve our corporate value over the medium to long term.
