TKP Acquires and Revitalizes Commercial Complex in Central Oita City, Opening "TKP Soleil Oita" to Create a Base for Regional Revitalization

TKP Corporation (Headquarters: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Takateru Kawano; hereinafter "TKP") has acquired the "Soleil" commercial complex in Oita City, Oita Prefecture, previously owned by the National Federation of Workers and Consumers Kyosai Cooperatives (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President: Akiichi Uchikoshi; hereinafter "Kokumin Kyosai"), as of April 1, 2026, and has commenced operations as "TKP Soleil Oita". The facility is equipped with conference rooms and banquet halls, and will be operated to meet a wide variety of needs ranging from business to social gatherings and events. Prior to the opening, an opening reception was held on March 31, 2026. Background of Acquisition and Opening TKP has been developing its space revitalization and distribution business nationwide, promoting the creation of new value through the repurposing of idle real estate. This acquisition is part of an initiative aimed at further expanding this business and realizing regional revitalization through co-creation with the local community. Oita City is the political and economic center of Oita Prefecture. In addition to the demand for corporate and organizational conferences and training, it is an area where both business and tourism demand is expected as a gateway to tourist destinations such as Beppu and Yufuin. Against the backdrop of these regional characteristics, we will open this facility and contribute to the creation of opportunities for interaction and the generation of liveliness in the region. Furthermore, by developing comprehensive services such as food and beverage operations and accommodation businesses, centered on the rental conference room and banquet business, we aim to enhance the value of the entire building. Features of the Facility Completed in 1998, this facility is a commercial complex with one basement level and seven above-ground floors, boasting a total floor area of approximately 7,800 square meters. The building features a total of 16 conference rooms, including a banquet hall that can accommodate up to approximately 300 people. Currently, multiple tenants, including the trade union Rengo Oita, reside in the building, and it continues to be used as a hub for activities in the region. The conference rooms on the 2nd, 3rd, and 6th floors, as well as the banquet hall on the 7th floor, are operated by TKP, catering to a wide range of uses including conferences, training sessions, various events, parties, and local functions. Future Developments Moving forward, through collaboration with "APA Hotel " operated by TKP and the complex resort facility "SHONIN PARK" in Beppu City, we will strengthen the attraction of corporate training and events from the Tokyo metropolitan area and other major urban areas, contributing to broad-based economic revitalization within the prefecture and the expansion of the interacting population. TKP will continue to build sustainable business models that walk alongside local communities through value creation rooted in the region.
