Tiger Corporation (President: Yoshisato Kikuchi, HQ: Kadoma, Osaka), a global leader in thermal control technology, has released the results of its '2026 Heatstroke and Water Bottle Awareness Survey,' conducted among 608 men and women nationwide.

With the Japan Meteorological Agency recently defining days over 40°C as 'Extreme Heat Days,' vigilance against extreme weather is increasing. However, the survey found that over 40% (43.1%) of people do not start heatstroke prevention until July, just before the peak of summer, missing the critical window for 'heat acclimatization.'

Key Survey Findings: - 43.1% delay heatstroke measures until July. - Over 40% have experienced heatstroke; the rate is highest among those in their 20s (approx. 60%). - Only 10% hydrate at the expert-recommended frequency of 'once every 10 minutes.' - More than half of respondents fall short of the recommended daily intake volume. - Approximately 80% practice counterproductive hydration, such as gulping down ice-cold drinks, which experts warn against. - 46.9% are unaware that sports drinks or oral rehydration solutions should not be put in standard stainless steel bottles.

To combat these issues, Tiger advocates for 'Quiet Hydration'—consuming small amounts of water frequently rather than drinking a lot at once. The company recommends its straw-type vacuum insulated bottles (MTS-W075/W088) as the ideal tool for this habit. Tiger Corporation remains committed to promoting safe and effective hydration through its advanced thermal technologies.
