Tiffany & Co. and the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) have announced the second "Tiffany & CFDA Jewelry Designer Award." This program aims to support the next generation of American jewelry designers. Following the inaugural year's initiatives, this year marks a new endeavor with the launch of the "Tiffany & CFDA Jewelry Designer Award Scholarship." This scholarship provides one early-career student studying jewelry design with a $25,000 scholarship and a summer internship, further expanding the cultivation of future creators.

Rooted in Tiffany's long-standing tradition of exceptional craftsmanship and the CFDA's commitment to nurturing American design talent, the award provides finalists with funding to create a 3-5 piece jewelry collection. Participants will also receive a multi-week learning experience and mentorship opportunity focused on craft and material exploration. They will engage in mentoring sessions with the Tiffany design team and ultimately present their collections at an event held at "The Landmark," Tiffany's flagship store on Fifth Avenue in New York. The award winner will receive a $50,000 prize and a one-year fellowship with the Tiffany design team.

For nearly 200 years, Tiffany has set the standard for American jewelry design, elevating precious metals into enduring beauty through an unwavering dedication to exceptional craftsmanship. This spirit is imbued in the award, based on the belief that the most significant jewelry emerges from the intersection of skilled making, inventive vision, and respect for inherited tradition.

As a milestone for this program, inaugural award winner Jameel Mohammed, who will serve as a fellow for the Tiffany design team starting April 2025, will participate as a member of the second selection committee. His participation underscores the program's emphasis on community and mentorship.

The 2026-2027 selection committee members are as follows:

* Jameel Mohammed (Jewelry Designer / Inaugural Tiffany x CFDA Jewelry Designer Award Winner) * Rajni Jacques (Fashion Creative Director, Global Brand Strategist) * Nathalie Verdeille (Tiffany Senior Vice President, Chief Artistic Officer) * Gabrielle Union (Actor, Producer, Bestselling Author) * Bethann Hardison (CFDA Board Member, Advocate) * Frank Everett (Vice President, Jewelry at Sotheby's) * Karla Martinez de Salas (Editor-in-Chief, Vogue Mexico & Latin America) * Andrew Bolton (Curator, Metropolitan Museum of Art) * Lynn Yaeger (Writer)

Nathalie Verdeille, Tiffany Senior Vice President and Chief Artistic Officer, stated: "We are thrilled to announce the second iteration of the Tiffany x CFDA Jewelry Designer Award. It embodies the brand's long-standing commitment to creativity, craftsmanship, and supporting the next generation of talent."

Steven Kolb, CFDA Chief Executive Officer and President, commented: "The Tiffany x CFDA Jewelry Designer Award significantly expands the meaning of this program. It becomes an important opportunity not only for emerging designers but also for students in the early stages of their creative journey. The CFDA believes that creativity is the driving force of American fashion, and this award is a testament to that shared belief."

The newly introduced "Tiffany & CFDA Jewelry Designer Award Scholarship" extends the partnership's efforts across the designer's entire career. For approximately 30 years, the CFDA has been instrumental in discovering significant voices in American fashion, providing opportunities, and building communities that support creative careers. This scholarship, established in partnership with the CFDA Scholarship Fund, has a proven track record of supporting over 400 student designers. This initiative extends that spirit into the jewelry design field, offering one student $25,000 and a summer internship with the Tiffany design team.
