This Is Me (Representative: Mayumi Ogata) endorses April Dream, which aims to make April 1st a day for sharing dreams. This press release is the dream of 'This Is Me'.

This Is Me addresses the discomfort (inconsistency) many people feel in daily communication, where 'what is said differs from what is thought.' Through the integration of body, words, and mind (Shin-Ku-I-Itchi), the company strives to create a society where everyone can be themselves and connect authentically and securely.

■ The Background to Realizing This Dream

Have you ever felt a sense of discomfort when talking to someone, thinking, 'What this person is saying is different from what they're thinking'? When I ask this question in my lectures, about 90% of people nod vigorously and raise their hands. In modern society, this 'discomfort' overflows in our daily lives.

Especially now that evaluation on social media and conversations via online screens have become commonplace, we are more afraid of 'what others think' than ever before, and we seek the 'right answer.' Then, a major turning point came to me one day when I was looking up at a magnificent 'sacred tree' at Atsuta Jingu.

The giant tree was supported by 'invisible roots' deeply embedded in the ground. Just as there is light (beautiful branches and leaves) because there is shadow (invisible roots), I realized that past negative experiences and unwanted emotions are all just 'roots (shadow)' supporting the 'tree' that is myself.

That's why I am convinced by my experiences so far.

When I accept my weaknesses, treat myself as carefully as a 'sacred tree,' and my body, mind, and words are in alignment—

Even without fluent words, the 'presence' of that person alone touches the hearts of others, creating deep trust and a sense of security.

We instinctively know that this is what true connection is.

That's why I, exhausted from wearing heavy armor trying to 'speak well'...
