Purpose of the Event
This symposium, held in cooperation with the Kyoto Biodiversity Center, will focus on biodiversity response in business. Think Nature will provide insights into global TNFD (Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures) trends based on its track record with major corporations and local governments. The event will specifically highlight practical discussions such as "What can we learn from nature capital-related data?" and "How can scientific evidence be incorporated into business decision-making?" The goal is to foster an environment where local companies view Nature Positive initiatives as "business opportunities" and are inspired to venture into new nature-related businesses.

About Think Nature
https://think-nature.jp/
We are a nature-tech startup that applies knowledge from basic sciences such as biogeography and macroecology, and applied sciences like biodiversity conservation and systematic conservation planning, within a business context. Our vision is "to realize a world where investment in natural capital is valued and leads to a prosperous society." We aim to enable decision-making based on "visualized nature information" in various activities of corporations, finance, government, and citizens by visualizing the "value of nature" with data technology. Our strengths include the highest level of data analysis integrating big data derived from terrestrial and marine fieldwork observations and satellite observations (high-resolution visualization maps of Earth's biodiversity), and socioeconomic information (logistics statistics, input-output tables, stock/futures trading information, geopolitical risks), and providing business intelligence to adapt to the global environmental crisis. Our business portfolio is multifaceted, including IR disclosure support for corporations (e.g., TNFD compliance) and natural capital management support, harmonious implementation support for carbon neutrality and nature positive, climate and nature due diligence for institutional investors and financial institutions, and nature-related initiatives for local governments.
