Cerpia Co., Ltd. Achieves All Target Goals in Demonstration Experiment for "AICHI X TECH Project"

Cerpia Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Sumida-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Kei Tanaka; hereinafter referred to as "Cerpia"), which develops on-site-led DX human resource development programs and system development services utilizing no-code technology, conducted a demonstration experiment for a system using a matching app to connect rescue dogs and cats with adoption applicants as part of Aichi Prefecture's public-private partnership project "AICHI X TECH Project." The experiment successfully achieved all target goals, including reducing the workload for matching operations at the Aichi Prefectural Animal Welfare Center, improving app usability, and enhancing the DX skills of staff. Moving forward, Cerpia will further refine the system for implementation and contribute to the center's goal of "connecting as many lives as possible" through the power of digital technology.

■Challenges

The Aichi Prefectural Animal Welfare Center rescues dogs and cats whose owners can no longer care for them, as well as stray cats and dogs. They recruit adoption applicants, but the number of adoptions has been stagnant due to a lack of applicants. To address this, the center aimed to increase the number of adoptions by widely disseminating information about rescue dogs and cats and by introducing a system that allows prefectural staff to easily update information. This demonstration experiment was conducted to increase dog and cat adoptions, reduce the number of animals euthanized, and realize a society where humans and animals can coexist, rather than animals being excluded from human society.

■Cerpia's Solution

Aichi Prefecture has four facilities that care for dogs and cats, and their current adoption status is published on their respective websites. Cerpia addressed this by building a unified database that integrates data from each facility and a matching platform for rescue dogs and cats and potential adopters. Additionally, by enabling web reservations for training sessions, which are currently only accepted by phone on weekdays, they created a system using no-code technology that allows easy access to information about rescue dogs and cats and facilitates consideration for adoption. To ensure that busy staff can efficiently update information and expand functions without undue burden, Cerpia also provided an interface for tablet-based data input and coaching on no-code app technology.
