Therapeer Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Sumida-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Kei Tanaka; hereinafter 'Therapeer'), which provides a field-driven DX human resource development program and system development service utilizing no-code technology, conducted a demonstration experiment of a system using a matching app that connects protected dogs/cats with prospective adopters in the Aichi Prefecture public-private partnership project 'AICHI X TECH Project'. The project achieved all its goals in reducing the matching task time for the Aichi Prefecture Animal Welfare Center, app operability, and improving the staff's DX skills. Moving forward toward implementation, the system will be further refined to contribute to the center's goal of 'saving as many lives as possible' through the power of digital technology.

■ Challenges
The Aichi Prefecture Animal Welfare Center protects dogs and cats given up by their owners, as well as stray cats and dogs, and recruits prospective adopters, but the number of adoptions has been sluggish due to a lack of applicants. Therefore, to reduce the number of euthanized dogs and cats by increasing adoptions, and to realize a society where humans and animals can coexist rather than excluding animals from human society, a demonstration experiment was conducted. The aim was to increase dog and cat adoptions by introducing a system that can widely disseminate information on protected dogs and cats and is easy for prefectural staff to update.

■ Therapeer's Solution
Aichi Prefecture protects dogs and cats at four facilities, and currently broadcasts their protection status on their respective websites. Therefore, Therapeer built a database integrating data from each facility and a matching platform for protected dogs/cats and owners using no-code technology. In addition, by enabling web reservations for seminars currently only accepted by phone on weekdays, the system allows easy access to information on protected dogs/cats, making it easier to consider adoption. Furthermore, as the system expands, to enable busy staff to update operations and expand functions efficiently and without strain, an interface was created that allows information input from a tablet, and coaching on no-code app technology was provided.
