Shukatsu Kaigi Announces 'Internships Students Really Loved 2026'

Shukatsu Kaigi Co., Ltd., a group company of Port Inc. (CEO: Yuta Akashio, Location: Shinjuku, Tokyo), which operates one of Japan's largest corporate review sites for job seekers, has announced the 'Internships Students Really Loved 2026' ranking. This is the 9th year of the survey. As job hunting starts earlier, internships have become an indispensable gateway to the main selection process. With an 85.6% participation rate in career formation programs, internships are now viewed as a critical process for making informed career choices rather than just preliminary information gathering. A notable trend in this survey is that students are becoming more selective. Analysis shows that 89% of students participated in 5 or fewer internships, up from 87% the previous year, indicating a stronger tendency to carefully vet companies within limited time. Furthermore, 85.5% of students felt that participating in internships gave them an advantage in subsequent selection processes. Because of tangible benefits like easier interview preparation and direct paths to job offers, students are focusing their efforts on a few target companies rather than casting a wide net.
