Theater Seminar Series 'Theater Architecture Seminar' ─ Theater Architects Discuss Their Own Works ─ Vol.02 Theater Workshop Inc. (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, Representative Director: Masami Ito) is holding a seminar series called the 'Theater Architecture Seminar' to think about the future of theaters. Vol.02 will be held on Friday, May 22, 2026, at P.O. Minami-Aoyama Hall (Minato-ku, Tokyo). We will welcome Mitsuru Senda, Chairman of the Environment Design Institute, Shigeru Kotouda, General Manager, and Ikuko Kusumi, General Manager. Together with the participants, we will consider the roles and future of modern theater architecture, analyzing actual examples of their theater architecture projects such as the Odawara Sannomaru Hall. This seminar is certified as an 'Architecture CPD Information Provision System Certified Program.' Credits can be obtained through both on-site participation and online participation on the day. Graduated from Tokyo Institute of Technology in 1964. Doctor of Engineering. After working at Kikutake Kiyonori Architect and Associates, he established the Environment Design Institute in 1968. He has served as a professor at the University of the Ryukyus, Nagoya Institute of Technology, Tokyo Institute of Technology, and the Open University of Japan; President of the Architectural Institute of Japan; President of the Japan Institute of Architects; Member (20th and 21st terms) and affiliated member (22nd and 23rd terms) of the Science Council of Japan; and President of the Association of Children's Environment. He is currently an Emeritus Professor at the Tokyo Institute of Technology (now Institute of Science Tokyo) and Representative Director of the Association of Children's Environment.
