Cö shu Nie will release their highly anticipated first single of 2026, "Kokorobi," on May 6. The song depicts the inner fluctuations and the "small flame" that seems to fade but never truly disappears, as felt by each member, through a delicate yet powerful sound. The artwork for the single was created by vocalist and guitarist Moe.
Member Comments (Work Introduction) ◆Vo. Moe This song depicts the emotions of confronting one's introverted self amidst a stagnant atmosphere, like a humid afternoon. It expresses the feeling of searching for one's true self, guided by a sensation that lingers deep within the heart, even while feeling suffocated and frustrated by unchanging daily routines and lingering regrets that cannot be wiped away. It embodies the desire to keep moving forward, even if imperfect, rather than conforming to someone else's values.
◆Gt. Kenjiro I wrote about the "small flame" that continues to burn within me. There are times when the emotions and inspirations I felt in my daily life slip through my fingers before I realize it, leaving me with a sense that nothing remains. Yet, in moments of sudden regret or memory, there is certainly something that continues to burn. It is a driving force, mind-wandering, or simply forgotten memories. I likened it to an unfading flame in the heart.
◆Ba. Makoto As I layered each phrase, I felt more strongly than ever before how this song was becoming Cö shu Nie. Moe-chan's emotional vocals, Kenjiro's guitar that grasps the entire space, Shuuta-kun's powerful and precise drums, and of course, my own bass – not a single element could be missing. It naturally became an important song for us. Please savor the sound and lyrics, which condense Cö shu Nie, from corner to corner.
◆Dr. Shuuta This is a song with a new emotion, one that Cö shu Nie hasn't had before. If we were to categorize it among joy, anger, sorrow, and pleasure, I think it falls into the "anger" category. It's not directed at any specific person, but rather the quiet resentment that has accumulated in daily life and an uncontrollable sense of helplessness that has manifested as sound. To be honest, during the production process, it became a surprisingly aggressive song, even to myself. Please immerse yourselves in this new and sharp Cö shu Nie.
