"Trembling" is one of the primitive reactions animals are equipped with to survive.

A gazelle that was almost attacked by a lion cannot stop trembling even after its safety is confirmed. However, after a while, the trembling subsides, and it begins to drink water energetically with its companions as if nothing had happened.

Have you ever seen your cat or dog trembling from a loud noise like fireworks? For animals, "trembling" is one of their primitive reactions. "Trembling" is a natural function to relieve excessive tension and expel excess chemical substances (hormones) produced when a shocking event occurs.

However, in the process of evolution, humans have developed a negative perception of "trembling." Because we unconsciously suppress it when it's needed, many people end up holding onto trauma and stress instead of releasing it.

Overcome painful pasts and difficult present circumstances!

Dr. Berceli, the author, also suffered from PTSD symptoms due to trauma during his continuous support work in war zones and disaster-stricken areas. This experience led to the elucidation of the mechanism of trauma and the development of trauma release exercises.

Most people don't think that traumatic experiences will befall them as long as they live a good life. However, trauma does not choose its victims. Natural disasters, wars, accidents, illnesses, domestic violence, moral harassment... trauma can potentially visit anyone. The TRE introduced in this book is an exercise that awakens the neural circuits deep in the abdomen and approaches the brain. By "trembling," you can feel your innate "instinct for recovery" and re-establish trust between your disconnected body and mind.

Key points are that it doesn't question the reasons or causes of trauma or stress, and it can be done safely by oneself.

A society that correctly understands and accepts trauma, PTS, and PTSD is needed.

Changes in hormones in the body cause an individual's personality to swing from one extreme to another. This means that a person with trauma, even if sociable in the morning, can become depressed and isolated by noon.

Trauma occurs when one experiences a strong physical and mental shock. Also, PTS (Post Traumatic Stress) refers to the symptoms, reactions, and behaviors caused by trauma, which this book also calls "trauma reactions." "PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder)," which has become widely recognized in Japan, is a medical diagnosis made by a doctor. In recent years, a new diagnosis, C-PTSD (Complex PTSD), has been established for trauma symptoms that cannot be fully captured by the PTSD criteria.

People with trauma are often said to react excessively to negative words and experiences, while in a depressed state, their reactions to positive words and experiences become dull. While some may develop strong attachments or obsessions with people, or become excessively sociable, others may withdraw from relationships and become socially isolated when depressed.

We live in a society where anyone can fall into such a state at any time. This book also provides content that can help in understanding and supporting people with trauma, PTS, and PTSD.

This is not a special exercise for special people.

By performing each simple exercise, a load is applied to the psoas muscle deep in the abdomen. Then, a tremor occurs from inside the body, connecting the body and brain circuits. As you continue, you will feel changes within yourself.

TRE exercises are effective for people with severe emotional wounds like trauma and PTSD, which are difficult to discuss with others, as well as for various problems such as lifestyle diseases, mental health issues, feelings of difficulty living, post-illness/post-surgery care, lower back pain, constipation, cold sensitivity, swelling, and menopausal symptoms. It can also be used for daily health management.

It relaxes nerves strained by stress and makes tomorrow easier. It is also recommended as a small habit to do before sleeping.
