TESS Holdings Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Yodogawa-ku, Osaka; President & CEO: Kazuki Yamamoto; hereinafter "the Company") announces that its consolidated subsidiary, TESS Engineering Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Yodogawa-ku, Osaka; President & CEO: Toshihiro Takasaki; hereinafter "TESS Engineering"), has recently received an order from Takasawa Sangyo Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Nagano City, Nagano Prefecture; President & CEO: Akihiro Takasawa; hereinafter "Takasawa Sangyo") for the installation of a "grid-connected battery storage system."
Outline of the Order
This project involves the installation of a "grid-connected battery storage system" (with a capacity of approximately 8.9MWh) for which Takasawa Sangyo will be the operating company. A "grid-connected battery storage system" refers to a battery storage system directly connected to the power transmission network, installed with the aim of stabilizing the power grid, which can become unstable due to the spread of renewable energy power plants. TESS Engineering delivered solar power generation equipment to Takasawa Sangyo in 2014, and this order was secured through the continuous relationship fostered through subsequent maintenance and other services. For this project as well, TESS Engineering will be responsible for maintenance after delivery, and will also perform 24-hour remote monitoring and operation management (aggregation) services, contributing to long-term stable operation.
TESS Group's Initiatives Regarding "Grid-Connected Battery Storage Systems"
In its initiatives related to "grid-connected battery storage systems," our group has internalized all processes, from site development and financial review to the design, procurement, construction, maintenance, and operation management (aggregation) of the storage system, enabling a one-stop service.
This initiative is one of the focus business areas of our group's medium-term management plan "TX2030," formulated and announced in August 2024. We have set a medium-term target of 700MW in cumulative installed capacity by 2030 and plan to actively work towards achieving this goal.
