Terra Charge Decides to Install 3kW Regular Charger for EVs at Rental Housing Managed by Leopalace21 in Tokyo

Terra Charge Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo, President: Toru Tokushige, hereinafter referred to as "the Company"), which operates the charging service for EVs (electric vehicles) "Terra Charge," has decided to install 3kW output regular chargers for EVs in the parking lots of rental housing in Tokyo managed by Leopalace21 Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Nakano-ku, Tokyo, President: Fumiya Miyao, hereinafter referred to as "Leopalace21").

■ Background

Towards achieving carbon neutrality by 2050, the spread of EVs and the expansion of EV charging infrastructure are rapidly accelerating. The Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry aims to install 300,000 EV chargers nationwide by 2030 (currently approximately 40,000 units), highlighting the need for charging environment development across the country.

A survey indicates that 73% of EV drivers in Japan expect to charge at home, which is higher compared to other countries, revealing a growing need for basic charging.

Furthermore, a survey shows that 77.3% of people consider homes with EV chargers installed to be more valuable in the future. *2
