JAXA-certified space venture Tenchijin Inc. (Chuo-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director Yasuhito Sakuraba) will host a Water DX Strategy Seminar for local government officials and water utilities (public enterprises). This seminar will be held online on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, and participation is free.
Water DX Technology Required to be Implemented "Within 3 Years"
In June 2025, the Waterworks Division of the Sewerage and Waterworks Department, Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, issued the "Introduction Guide for Screening Technology for Leak Detection Using DX." It states that "DX technology will be standardized and implemented nationwide in water and sewerage businesses within approximately the next three years."
Therefore, we will hold a free online seminar for water utilities aiming to improve their effective water ratio, focusing on the latest advanced case studies utilizing artificial satellites and AI.

Seminar Overview
This seminar will introduce case studies of "Uchu Suido Kyoku" under the theme of "Artificial Satellites x Water Big Data x AI Strategy." With the "arrival of the AI era," how much can the productivity of water pipeline maintenance and renewal operations be enhanced? We look forward to the participation of local government officials and water utilities (public enterprises) who are interested in how to utilize data as a weapon in leak detection and pipeline renewal.

About "Uchu Suido Kyoku"
"Uchu Suido Kyoku" is a water DX solution that utilizes satellite data to support the realization of sustainable water utilities.
1. Leak Risk Diagnosis-Based Acoustic Survey Support
By utilizing satellite data for pipeline risk diagnosis in meter-level units, it is possible to grasp current and near-future leak risks with high resolution. It also supports leak risk diagnosis in mesh units depending on the application. By narrowing down areas with a high probability of leaks, it is easy to find places that should be prioritized for investigation, realizing efficient maintenance and management.
2. Support for Water Pipeline Renewal Plan Formulation According to Regional Characteristics
By evaluating the "soundness" (leak risk diagnosis results) based on pipeline diagnosis results, combined with the "importance" that comprehensively considers the impact on all facilities and lives, from general residences to important water supply facilities (hospitals, schools, evacuation centers, etc.), multiple "renewal priority scenarios" are created. Through scenarios that consider regional characteristics, it supports the formulation of highly useful plans by rationally and transparently determining the renewal priority of each pipeline.
Its high technical capability and low barrier to introduction have been recognized, receiving awards such as the Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare Award at the "7th Infrastructure Maintenance Award" and the Special Jury Award at the "6th Space Utilization Promotion Award." It is also listed in the "Water and Sewerage DX Technology Catalog" published by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (Practical Stage Edition, pages 187-188).
Since its service launch in April 2023, the cumulative number of contracted municipalities* has exceeded 60 (as of April 2026).
*Including contract renewals
