Priority Genres While all genres are welcome, we are prioritizing original novels in the following genres. Please refer to the outlines, desired points, and keyword examples. 【Sought Genres & Evaluation Points for Comic Adaptation】 We are focusing on genres such as romance fantasy for women, fantasy for men, romance for women (e.g., office romance), and horror. Here are examples of sub-genres we are actively seeking. 1. Romance Fantasy ・Dark Fantasy ■ Outline A beautiful romance set against a dark world of darkness, death, and curses. This is a romance fantasy for women where a heroine with a harsh past or secret confronts her special powers and destiny to forge her own path. ■ Desired Points ・A structure where the story progresses through mysteries of powers or the world, battles, and trials, during which a relationship and romance with the hero gradually blossom. ・Depicting the heroine's strength as she defies fate and carves out her future with her own will. ・Even within a dark worldview, there are heart-fluttering romantic descriptions and the tension of misunderstandings. ■ Keyword Examples King/Noble, Princess, Reincarnation, Another World, Childhood Friend, Doting Love, Time Slip, Forbidden Love, Dark Noble, Special Powers, Fate, Undead, Vampire, Curse 2. Contract/Fake Marriage Stories ■ Outline Stories where a relationship starting without love—such as a contract marriage, a stand-in, or a fake relationship for mutual benefit—gradually becomes real. The greatest appeal is the 'relationship reversal' that can only be depicted from a zero-affection start. ■ Desired Points ・The fun of 'reversal,' where love blossoms from an initial zero-affection state as the relationship deepens. ・A structure that allows readers to enjoy the prolonged tension of misunderstandings, unrequited love, and frustrating developments. ・Designing an exquisite sense of distance that makes readers think, 'This is so frustrating! Just get together already!' ■ Keyword Examples Contract Marriage, Fake Couple, Political Marriage, Masked Couple, Love from Mutual Interest, Stand-in Bride 3. Fantasy for Male Audiences ■ Outline A fantasy set in another world or modern times. The protagonist grows by gaining skills and experience, overcoming adversity. We welcome stories where relationships with heroines and other characters influence the narrative and are integral to the protagonist's growth and choices. ■ Desired Points ・A clear growth process for the protagonist, with motives and goals that make readers want to cheer for them. ・A structure that captivates readers with tense developments like battles, adventures, and strategy. ・Relationships with companions, rivals, and heroines function as key elements that drive the story forward. ■ Keyword Examples Isekai Reincarnation, Rising to Power, Adventure, Battle, Cheat Abilities, Dungeon Crawling, Bonds with Companions 4. Marital Problems / Infidelity Revenge Stories ■ Outline A satisfying story where a heroine, burdened by marital dissatisfaction (infidelity, uncooperative parenting, lack of communication), finally explodes and seeks revenge, turning the tables. The key to success is allowing readers to project their own daily frustrations and experience a cathartic release. ■ Desired Points ・Realistic depictions of daily stress that women in their 30s-50s can relate to as 'so true.' ・The partner's 'scumbag' behavior is carefully detailed, sufficiently building up the reader's animosity. ・A sense of catharsis in the revenge scenes and the exhilaration of the tables being turned. ■ Keyword Examples Revenge on Cheating Husband, The Wronged Wife's Counterattack, Divorce, Discovery of Infidelity, Reversal of Power, Punishment for Cheating 5. Office Romance ■ Outline A story where trust is built with a work partner, like a boss or colleague, through 'collaboration' on projects or troubleshooting, evolving a public relationship into a private, romantic one. The frustration at the boundary between work and love is its greatest charm. ■ Desired Points ・A careful depiction of the process where a professional trust relationship transforms into romantic feelings. ・The frustrating dynamic of 'physical closeness' and 'unbreachable walls' unique to the workplace. ・A structure where professional achievements, like project success or problem resolution, are linked to the progression of the romance. ■ Keyword Examples Boss and Subordinate, President/CEO, Secretary, Arrogant/Sadistic Boyfriend, Super Doting & Perfect Man (Supadari), Doting Love, TL (Teens' Love), Office Romance, Secret Relationship, Project, Balancing Work and Love 6. Revenge / 'Zamaa' (Comeuppance) ■ Outline A story where a person, whose dignity or loved ones were stolen by unjust violence like bullying or power harassment, uses all means necessary to deliver merciless punishment to the perpetrators. We are looking for works that provide readers with an extraordinary sense of tension and vicarious catharsis.
