Yamada Homes Co., Ltd. is a comprehensive house maker of the Yamada Holdings Group, headquartered in Takasaki City, Gunma Prefecture. They provide a wide range of housing-related services, including custom-built homes, renovations, subdivision housing, purchase and resale, and real estate brokerage.

Recently, we interviewed Mr. Hoshizawa, Manager of the Sales Promotion Section, Sales Promotion Department, Sales Strategy Headquarters, about the background of introducing "AI Search Partners" and his thoughts on AI search countermeasures. Could you tell us what sparked your interest in AI search?

Mr. Hoshizawa: Around November and December of last year, we received proposals regarding AI search from several companies. Until then, I wasn't particularly interested in AI search, but as we proceeded with sales talks and various information gathering, my interest gradually grew.

Furthermore, I have been feeling firsthand that customers' information-gathering behavior is changing. Until now, almost all actions consisted of customers searching and gathering information themselves, or taking action by clicking on ads they found interesting.

However, recently, we have gradually started to see the behavior of "consulting AI" among them. I felt a sense of crisis that Yamada Homes must also tackle this, which led to our consultation with you.

Could you tell us why you chose "AI Search Partners"?

Mr. Hoshizawa: We had originally been working together with your company since the launch of our owned media through "Bakuyasu AI Article Proxy," so you understood our company very well.

As we worked together, I felt that you were a reliable partner. Although we received offers from various companies this time, we wanted to request your services.

Could you share your impression upon seeing the initial investigation report and the "AI Search Partners Style AI Countermeasure Heatmap"?

Mr. Hoshizawa: We spent a lot of effort on SEO over the past year, and personally, I felt we had built a state where we were ranking quite high in terms of SEO.

For instance, Yamada Homes' articles were properly appearing for big keywords like "custom-built homes" or "single-story houses."

However, looking at this report, I felt that what we had done for SEO was not recognized or understood by the AI. Honestly, I thought there were still many areas lacking.

Could you tell us your policy for future AI search strategies?

Mr. Hoshizawa: Basically, our first step is to secure mentions. We want to proceed with organizing the information on our own site and content.

However, we must go beyond just getting mentions to the next stage, where the AI guides customers to answers, and subsequently, they actually view our pages, leading to visits and contracts. Therefore, we want to thoroughly work on content development for that purpose as well.

For what kind of companies do you think AI search strategies are particularly necessary?

Mr. Hoshizawa: Especially in the custom-built home industry, the period from when a customer first becomes interested in a house until they actually live in it is very long, and during that time, various concerns and search behaviors occur.

For companies with such a long customer consideration span, I think being mentioned by AI is extremely important. In addition, I currently feel that all companies that have contact points with customers on the web need this.
