New Cherry Blossom Artwork Debuts at 'teamLab Botanical Garden Osaka'; 'Crystals of Cherry Blossoms and Cherry Blossom Phantoms' to be Exhibited Through April 12th, with Pond Lamps Glowing in Cherry Blossom Pink

At 'teamLab Botanical Garden Osaka,' the permanent nighttime open-air museum by teamLab located in Nagai Botanical Garden, Osaka City, the cherry blossoms are now in full bloom, and several cherry blossom-themed works are on display. 'Crystals of Cherry Blossoms and Cherry Blossom Phantoms' is a work that shines as if crystals are emerging in the spring night, only during the few days when the cherry blossoms are in full bloom. Its contours, which emerge, sink, and sway in the darkness, carve the very 'presence' of life into the space. 'Crystals of Cherry Blossoms and Cherry Blossom Phantoms' will be on display from Saturday, March 28th, through Sunday, April 12th. Crystals of Cherry Blossoms and Cherry Blossom Phantoms For only about 10 days a year. On a spring night, cherry trees transcend their physical substance and transform into a 'phenomenon.' Life is perhaps a tiny light that blooms in the darkness and returns to the darkness. 'Crystals of Cherry Blossoms' carves that fleeting, tiny brilliance into space, sublimating the transience of life into an 'impermanent eternity.' And in 'Cherry Blossom Phantoms,' the trees lose their physical weight and appear as beings drifting through the darkness. Their contours, which emerge, sink, and sway, are an attempt to carve the very 'presence' of life into the space. It is a 'perceptual sculpture' that exists for only a few days, appearing only at the moment when the existence and perception of life intersect.
