Atria LLC (Headquarters: Osaka City, Yodogawa Ward; Representative Members: Satoshi Hamasaki, Touma Tagami), which operates the island-specialty media "Hanarejima Public Relations," has collaborated with "Map Design GALLERY," a brand operated by Zenrin Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Kitakyushu City, Fukuoka Prefecture; President: Michio Takekawa) that sells stationery and miscellaneous goods designed with maps.

As a joint initiative leveraging the strengths of both parties, we are pleased to announce the production of a rulebook for "Map Design GALLERY CARD/Inhabited Islands," a trading card series specializing in remote islands, which will be distributed starting July 3, 2026 (Fri).

Rulebook Produced for "Shimac Jack," a Game Devised by Hanarejima Public Relations

The collaboration between the two entities has resulted in the creation of the rulebook for "Shimac Jack," an original game devised by Hanarejima Public Relations that can be played using "Map Design GALLERY CARD/Inhabited Islands."

"Shimac Jack" is a "Island Blackjack" where players aim to get as close as possible to "417," the number of inhabited islands in Japan, by guessing the population density depicted on each card. Players can analyze the topography or leave it to luck. It's a game that can be easily enjoyed by both island enthusiasts and beginners.

The rulebook will be included with the target product, and a web version can also be viewed from the article.

Furthermore, Hanarejima Public Relations is sharing new ways to enjoy island trading cards, including publishing an article about playing "Shimac Jack" with the Zenrin team. Please enjoy the report on the heated battles in the article.

Increase Opportunities to Engage with Islands Through "Island Trading Cards"!

Remote islands offer numerous fascinating aspects, including geography, nature, culture, lifestyle, and history. We have created this game as a new point of contact to increase opportunities for people to experience these charms.

In this sense, this collaboration is also an attempt to bring out the fascination of islands not just as knowledge, but as an experience. By combining the single topic of "islands" through different approaches such as maps, design, and games, we expect it to be utilized in a wide range of settings, including homes, event venues, and educational institutions.

Hanarejima Public Relations will continue to create opportunities that bring people closer to islands through new projects and collaborations centered around islands.

About Hanarejima Public Relations

A web media outlet that disseminates information and interview articles useful for island life, focusing on the approximately 400 inhabited remote islands scattered across Japan. Since the project was launched in the spring of 2024 by members who love islands, they have been involved in event planning and collaborations with companies inside and outside the islands, leveraging their experience in island activities.

The core members consist of creators such as writers, designers, and engineers, and their strength lies in their ability to approach the various challenges faced by remote islands from a creative perspective.
