[Event Report] 10 Speakers Paving the Way for the Future of IP Business! "TCIC IP INNOVATION AWARD (TIIA) 2025" Final Selection Held to Great Success!

T-Create Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, Representative Director: Hideki Suzuki, hereinafter T-Create), which is entrusted by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government to operate the Tokyo Content Incubation Center (hereinafter TCIC), held the final selection round of the business competition "TCIC IP INNOVATION AWARD (TIIA) 2025" on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at Tokyo Innovation Base (TIB) (Marunouchi, Chiyoda-ku), targeting startups and others who are refining business models in content-related fields.

The 10 finalists who won through the first and second selections presented their business plans, refined through mentoring, with passionate and heartfelt pitches, and confidently answered sharp questions from the judges, making for a very impressive event.
In addition, as a program before the pitches, a keynote talk session "Considering the Era of Film Business Transformation" was held with Mr. Muneyuki Kii, Representative Director and CEO of K2 Pictures, which provided valuable insights that could only be known from being on-site.

■ Background and Business Objective: To make the content industry a core industry of Japan

In recent years, expectations for the content industry as a driving force for Japan's economic growth have accelerated. The Tokyo Metropolitan Government is holding this program to support startups aiming for high growth with unique IPs and cutting-edge technology. It aims to promote social implementation and fundraising, and to expand the base of entrepreneurs.

This program supports business models that maximize the value of IP in diverse fields such as anime, games, XR, AI, and lifestyle brands.

■ What is TCIC IP INNOVATION AWARD (TIIA) 2025

Through document screening and presentation screening, excellent business plans based on IP ideas are selected and awarded. In addition, finalists (those who pass the first and second selections) are provided with knowledge necessary for further building business models, hypothesis testing, and company establishment, as well as networking opportunities to facilitate matching with VCs and content business companies.
