Music Selectors Announced for June 2026 on 'CITY CHILL CLUB'!

The music selectors for June 2026 (until June 30) have been announced for "CITY CHILL CLUB" (Monday-Friday, 27:00-29:00), a program where artists and creators curate and broadcast a 2-hour music playlist based on the concept of "CHILL".

Various music selectors will continue to deliver music playlists. Please tune in and listen.

◆ Monday

Weeks 1 & 2

Hashimoto Nene
Born in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture, on September 2, 2002.

She aspired to be a professional soccer player until her 3rd year of junior high school, but awakened to folk songs when her father recommended Takuro Yoshida's best album at the age of 17.

After that, encountering various music such as ROCK and J-POP, regardless of Western or Japanese music, she is currently active mainly at live houses as a "Reiwa era folk singer," basing her style on folk-style acoustic performances.

Recently, she served as the opening act for Shigeru Izumiya and Tetsuo Saito, and is expanding her activities, including an appearance on Fuji TV NEXT's "Shiokouji Tamai Shiori x Sakazaki Konosuke no Odaiba Folk Mura NEXT" at the end of 2025.

Rip van cats

~ Bringing Kayokyoku back to the Reiwa era ~

Neo Retro Pops, Rip van cats.

Nostalgic yet somehow new. A new-genre four-piece band reminiscent of Showa era Kayokyoku (popular songs).

Not only their songs, but also their live performances and the vocalists' looks evoke memories of those times. In April 2026, they released their first nationally distributed 1st full album "Neo Retro Pops." Their first solo live performance held on May 1 was sold out immediately.

Week 5

Sone Takumi

A guitarist born in Kyoto Prefecture in 1974.

He picked up the electric guitar and started a band upon entering high school, and moved to Tokyo at the age of 27 with his band members at the time. He disbanded the band at 29, began his solo career as a guitarist, and supported artists like Merengue and Tsubaki. Since then, he has built his career by participating in live shows and recordings for Superfly, a flood of circle, Pistol Takehara, Eir Aoi, chay, and others. On March 13, 2026, he established his own IN BLUE RECORDS and released his first solo work, "SELFIE." From this spring onwards, his activities as a guitarist have been announced one after another, including the release of Eriko Hashimoto's (ex. Chatmonchy) 3rd album and participating in Reira Shio's tour.

A band/project based in Tokyo.

They perform beyond the boundaries of live houses and club culture, crossing dance music such as rock, electro, house, and disco. They have garnered support for their energetic live performances and highly messaged songs containing perspectives on society and life.

In recent years, they have further incorporated elements of club music, establishing a unique style that fuses dance music and band sound.

Weeks 3 & 4

Namaoto Band

Formed in 2025. A five-piece band consisting of Takeshi Nakatsuka (Vo, Key), Kentaro Ishigaki (B), Kaoru Suzuki (Dr), Tomoko Okamura (Sax), and Shinnosuke (Tb).

With their overwhelmingly live performances and songs that boldly introduce odd meters and electronics based on jazz, they have already performed at music festivals in Japan since the year of their formation. The leader, Takeshi Nakatsuka, drew immense attention when his representative song "JAPANESE BOY" was used in the opening ceremony of the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, and he also produced the opening music and the athletes' entrance music for the closing ceremony. In 2025, the music he composed for the TV anime "My Dress-Up Darling" became a huge hit, and he also produced music for ANA's TV commercials, playing an active role in a wide range of fields. On February 18, 2026, they released their debut single under the Namaoto Band name, "I・Ke・Na・I Rouge Magic," on both 7-inch and digital media. They plan to release their 2nd single "Lupin the Third EP" on June 17. Their appearances at festivals and events are being decided one after another.

Week 5

RAF cheek

An artist/DJ from Ota Ward, Tokyo.

Started activities focusing on guest appearances in 2021, and began full-scale activities as a solo artist in 2024. Performed at Pickyou's anniversary event for two consecutive years and released the music video "ONE MORE LOVE."

In the EP "STAY DRIPPY" with producer MsDoe, "MY FEEL feat. HIZAGUTYA," welcoming HIZAGUTYA, was picked up in various subscription playlists. A notable and unique artist who creates songs through genre-less collaborations.

Weeks 1 & 2 Ai Iinuma × Hinari Serizawa

Ai Iinuma

Born August 5, 2003. From Kagawa Prefecture.

In April 2021, she was chosen as the winner from 9,000 applicants nationwide in the audition program "TBS Star Fostering Project 'Watashi ga Joyu ni Naru Hi_'," and made her debut starring in the drama "Kono Hatsukoi wa Fiction desu."

Following that, she starred in the drama "Papa to Musume no 7-kakan."

In 2023, she gained attention for her role as Riho Ota (Blue Walker) in the TBS Sunday drama "VIVANT."

Other appearances include NHK's "Tenshi no Mimi ~ Kotsu Keisatsu no Yoru" and TV Asahi's "Minami-kun ga Koibito!?".

Hinari Serizawa

Born December 12, 2002. From Tokyo.

She has appeared in various music videos since around 2023, and has actively expanded her activities as an actress and model since 2024. In 2024, she appeared as Kosame Futaba in the stage play "Koinutachi no Gogo" written and directed by Masaya Okamoto. Subsequently, she garnered attention for her role as Ema Kanamori in the 2025 TBS Sunday drama "Okami Sensei." Other appearances include the movie "Hiraba no Tsuki" and CX's "Umi no Hajimari."

THE FRANK VOX

A four-piece vocal group from the Kansai region, THE FRANK VOX (commonly known as Fra-Vox).

Consists of 2 vocals RYO and YASU, and 2 MCs SNG and RYO-TA.

They express songs that combine warmth that gently snuggles up to people's hearts and heat that gives them the power to move forward, utilizing the unique vocal work of each of the four members.

They deliver music that carefully scoops up everyday emotions and scenery.

In addition to writing and composing their own songs, they are actively involved in creative aspects such as artwork and video production, comprehensively constructing their work's world.

They have set a goal of holding a solo performance at Osaka-jo Hall by 2028.

Ranman

"Piercing respect for J-POP with minimalism." A three-piece band from Kichijoji, Ranman. The minimum correct answer of the three, finally found after continuing to play for 10 years.

Born in Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture in 1993, they met at a live house when they were high school students. They renamed from their previous band and started activities in Kichijoji in March 2025. The relationship between the members is very deep, and the current members came together at the age of 21, sincerely fostering their groove for over 10 years while overcoming departures and renaming.

The aesthetics that "Ranman" upholds is "expressing the J-POP they love with the bare minimum number of notes." Tomita
