The 8th Minecraft Cup, a nationwide contest using Minecraft Education, TBS to participate again this year as a partner!

TBS Holdings, Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director and President: Ryujiro Abe; hereinafter "TBS") has decided to participate again this year as a partner in the "Minecraft Cup," which provides "a place where each individual can challenge their potential" by allowing children to demonstrate their problem-finding and creativity through digital manufacturing! In this year's "8th Minecraft Cup," TBS will support children as a newly established "Diamond Partner."

 

This year's competition theme is "A Future City Where Everyone Shines! The Future City of Generation Beta ~How to Live in a Society Where the Balance of Population and Age Changes?~". Children will seriously confront real social issues we face, such as the declining birthrate and aging population.

And the TBS Award, presented to children as a partner company, is "The Future City That Moves Hearts with Play and Learning - TBS Award." It will be awarded to a future city where everyone, from children to the elderly, can be a protagonist through "play and learning → edutainment."

 

■Special workshops to be held again in 2026!

Last year, TBS not only sponsored the competition but also promoted educational initiatives utilizing Minecraft. They developed and held three times a workshop to create a course for TBS's popular program, "SASUKE"! The first workshop was a great success, featuring Mr. Masato Inui, the general director of "SASUKE," and Mr. Shuichi Tatsunami, a leading expert in Minecraft education, as special guests.

Furthermore, this year, with the slogan "Fun is the strongest learning!", TBS will hold multiple workshops nationwide that combine TBS's entertainment power with education! Don't miss the follow-up reports for details!

In addition, a "Minecraft Education Ambassador" was born within TBS. At the workshops, the ambassador himself gave lectures to parents and educators on the "educational effects of Minecraft." They continue to disseminate educational value from multiple perspectives, not just by holding events.
