TBS Holdings Inc. (Minato-ku, Tokyo, Representative Director and President: Ryujiro Abe, hereinafter TBS) and Kinki Nippon Tourist Co., Ltd. (Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo, Representative Director and President: Yasuki Nagasaki, hereinafter Kinki Nippon Tourist) have been selling the national edition of the experiential inquiry program 'My World Heritage Inquiry' since April 2026.

This educational material was jointly developed with the aim of evolving school trips into inquiry-based learning, by integrating the knowledge cultivated by TBS Television's long-running program 'World Heritage' and the expertise in educational travel accumulated by Kinki Nippon Tourist over many years.

The Okinawa edition was released in advance in June 2025. Based on the results of demonstrations and sales, we are now launching the national edition as a versatile version that can be utilized for school trips across Japan.

Evolving School Trips into Inquiry-Based Learning

This material initiates learning from a familiar theme: 'What I want to leave behind.'

Students will observe various subjects during their travels, such as scenery, culture, buildings, and nature, while considering them from both their personal perspective and a societal viewpoint.

They will then derive their own answers to the question, 'What do I want to leave to the world 100 years from now?' and ultimately express their findings as a video production.

The experiential inquiry program 'My World Heritage Inquiry' was developed for the following purposes:

・To contribute to the development of each student's spirit of inquiry and critical thinking skills by providing educational materials that respond to the demand for inquiry-based learning in schools and by evolving school trips into opportunities for proactive learning.

・To enhance the educational value of school trips and aim for the creation of a new educational travel model for the next generation through a unique learning program that integrates broadcast content and educational travel expertise.

・To deepen understanding of local culture, nature, and history through school trips, and to contribute to fostering interest in local communities and a sense of coexistence by promoting sustainable educational exchanges with various regions, including Okinawa.
